Sky Creation
Sky Creation is a design-and-build firm with a showroom at Kim Keat Lane, handling HDB, BTO, condo and landed renovation including custom carpentry. Hometrust lists it as founded in 2009, HDB and BCA registered, with a score of about 9.0 across roughly 620 reviews. Reviewers praise responsive designers, frequent site visits and defect fixes after handover. Complaints are minor delays, small finishing flaws and pricey partner shops. Some aggregator reviews look promotional, so treat the high scores with care.
Suits homeowners who want a mid-sized, established firm with lots of reviews. Ask for recent references before trusting the headline score.

Its site shows a Google review widget with 372 reviews, and reviewers often mention responsiveness, project management and after-sales touch-ups. Qanvast shows 4.46 across 58 reviews and says the firm is HDB-registered but not CaseTrust, and Qanvast lists a minimum budget of about S$50,000. Hometrust shows a lower 7.1 across 13 reviews, with workmanship the weakest score.
Suits larger budgets that want strong design and project management. If you need CaseTrust deposit protection or a small-budget BTO package, look elsewhere.

Hurry General Contractors (HGC)
Hurry General Contractors was incorporated in 1984 and covers building and construction, M&E, structural work, additions and alterations and interior decoration, for commercial and residential clients. Its About page lists BCA registration for General Building (C1) and Interior Decoration (L3). It doesn't mention HDB registration or CaseTrust, and we found no consumer reviews. It looks more like a builder than a homeowner design-and-build brand.
Suits owners with structural or heavy works who want a licensed builder. If you want package pricing or reviews to check, look elsewhere.

Home Renovation Pte Ltd
Home Renovation Pte Ltd offers renovation and interior design for HDB, condo and landed homes, with a free quote and a Nippon Paint designer-of-choice badge. Five testimonials on its own site praise a single point of contact, patience with changes and transparent pricing. The only date shown is an SME award from 2014 or 2015. It states no founding year, HDB or BCA registration, CaseTrust or warranty, and we found no independent reviews.
Worth a quote request if you want a broad-scope firm. Check its registration and warranty terms yourself before signing, since only on-site testimonials exist.

Teng Hong Renovate
Teng Hong Renovate is a direct contractor for interior renovation covering electrical, plumbing, aircon, tiling, painting and custom carpentry, and says it began about 40 years ago as a tiling business. Three testimonials on its site praise follow-up support and reasonable pricing. Hometrust shows just one review, so there is too little to judge. The site states no HDB, BCA or CaseTrust credentials, and we couldn't verify any warranty.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an HDB-registered contractor for my BTO renovation?
For HDB flats, use a contractor listed in HDB's Directory of Renovation Contractors. Certain works, such as hacking, can only be done by listed contractors. HDB doesn't guarantee their workmanship, so being listed doesn't replace checking reviews and references. Interior design firms aren't generally required to register, so ask whether the firm uses listed contractors for the physical works.
What does CaseTrust accreditation actually protect?
CaseTrust renovation firms must buy a deposit performance bond that protects your deposit if the company closes or is liquidated, and must use the CaseTrust Standard Renovation Contract. You can check a firm's status on the CASE website. It isn't mandatory, and some well-reviewed firms aren't accredited, so check the status of each firm you shortlist.
How should I structure payments to a renovation contractor?
Avoid large upfront payments and tie instalments to milestones. A commonly cited split is about 10% on confirmation, about 80% across progress stages and about 10% after satisfactory completion and defect rectification. Get a written contract, ideally the CASE model agreement, and compare several quotations first. Be cautious of unusually cheap packages.
Where do I complain if a renovation goes wrong?
Photograph defects and keep proof that you reported them to the contractor. If it isn't resolved, contact CASE or file a complaint online. Disputes can also go to the Small Claims Tribunals or the courts, since your contract is with the contractor, not HDB. Report suspected fraud to the police. Renotalk blacklists are unofficial, so treat them as leads rather than proof.
Before you book
Prices and ratings change. Confirm the firm or its contractor appears in HDB's renovation contractor directory, and ask whether it holds CaseTrust and a deposit bond. Pay in milestone stages, not a large upfront sum, and get the scope, timeline and warranty in writing.
